Give a pet a new home for the holidays…

Well, the Giving Season is upon us. Sadly, thousands of dogs and cats don’t have a home for the holidays. As I said in one of my recent blog posts, an adopted pet can make a wonderful gift three times over: to the pet themselves, to their current owner, and to you or that person on your list who will be feeling the love for years to come.

Making the decision to adopt a pet…

Perhaps you have visited us at getyourpet.com because you’ve been thinking about adopting a new pet. If you haven’t already found your (or someone-you-know’s) new best friend, please take a moment and check out some of the recent additions on the site.

Adopt a Pet and Give Them a Home for the Holidays with Get Your Pet - Mabel and Zoey.

Including Zoey, a 3-year-old tabby who is a “spunky, sweet, ankle-rubbing, back-talking laser chaser,” according to her guardian. She is about a half hour south of Philadelphia and needs a new home within two weeks. And Mabel, a 1-year-old orange, female, domestic shorthair cat who has major personality. She even likes car rides! She is located in Philadelphia and needs a new home within the next three weeks.

Milo, a 4-year-old tabby male cat who loves kids and quiet naps in a sunny spot. He currently lives in West Chester, PA. Little Fluffernutter, a 2 month old longhair caramel/orange tabby kitten looking to snuggle with someone this Christmas. She lives in Roxborough, just outside downtown Philadelphia. Then there’s an adorable mutt named Prime. A 6-year-old small mixed breed dog who is great with kids of all ages. He is located in the Allentown area and needs a new home within two weeks.

Many more pets need homes!

This is just a small number of the adorable cats and dogs we have available for adoption, please take a look at the rest of the cuties that are looking for a home for the holidays!

What happens if these pets don’t get adopted?

They end up in a shelter. Not the place for a pet to spend the holidays. Or any day of the year.  Please visit our gallery of pets and start a conversation with their current owner TODAY! Why wait? It costs you nothing to reach out. And you just might make a positive change in three lives. Most importantly, the pet’s.

Not a good time to adopt?

If the timing isn’t right for you to adopt during this busy holiday season, fair enough. But we encourage you to please share these pet profiles via email and social media. Together, we can help these sweet, innocent furry creatures find a good home for the holidays.
